باشگاه گلاسگو رنجرز به دلیل بدهی‌هایش در آستانه ورشکستگی قرار گرفت

گلاسکو رنجرز، یکی از قدیمی ترین باشگاه های جهان، در آستانه ورشکستگی قرار گرفته است.

امروز (سه شنبه ۱۴ فوریه) باشگاه گلاسکو رنجرز با تایید اداراه مالیات اسکاتلند، رسما ناتوانی در پرداخت بدهی‌هایش را به دادگاه اعلام کرد.

در این مرحله باشگاه وارد روندی می‌شود که به آن مرحله administration گفته می‌شود، که در آن دادگاه ضمن محافظت قانونی باشگاه بحران‌زده در برابر طلبکاران، طرف ثالثی را برای اداره امور مالی باشگاه تا زمان پرداخت بدهی‌ها تعیین می‌کند.

در حال حاضر یک شرکت مستقر در لندن مسئولیت اداره و بازپرداخت بدهی‌های رنجرز را برعهده گرفته است. اما چنانچه در این مرحله و از طریق فروش بخشی از دارایی‌ها، بدهی‌های رنجرز پرداخت نشود، این باشگاه ناچار تن به حراج کامل دارایی‌های خود خواهد داد.

مبلغی که این باشگاه باید پرداخت کند بزودی با رای یک دادگاه مالیاتی مشخص خواهد شد، اما رقم بدهی‌های باشگاه بین ۸۰ تا ۱۲۰ میلیون دلار برآورد شده است.

علاوه بر این، گلاسکو رنجرز با اعلام رسمی ورود به مرحله administration، در جدول لیگ برتر اسکاتلند ۱۰ امتیاز از دست خواهد داد. در نتیجه این تیم از سلتیک، همشهری و رقیب دیرینه خود ۱۴ امتیاز عقب می‌افتد و رقابت‌تنگاتنگ همیشگی دو تیم کمرنگ خواهد شد.

گلاسگو رنجرز که پرافتخارترین تیم در لیگ اسکاتلند است، در سه فصل گذشته قهرمان این لیگ شده است. این تیم در سال ۱۹۶۱ نایب قهرمان، و در سال ۱۹۷۲ قهرمان جام برندگان جام اروپا شد.

اگر مشکل پرداخت بدهی‌های گلاسگو رنجرز تا زمان مقرر حل و فصل نشود، یوفا به این تیم مجوز حضور در رقابت‌های لیگ قهرمانان اروپا را نخواهد داد.

با وجود بحران مالی گسترده فعلی، منع حضور در رقابت‌های اروپایی با توجه به درآمد ناشی از فروش حق پخش بازی‌ها و درآمدهای جانبی دیگر، مشکلات این باشگاه دوچندان خواهد شد.
